The Greenway and BTT

At the beginning of the twentieth century the train arrived in Anglès. Until 1969 he was one of the main means of communication. The train transported people and merchandise and communicated Anglès with neighboring villas and with the capitals, Girona and Olot.

When the train disappeared, in 1969, it left its way that, finally, was adapted for the civic use of walking and cyclists. It led to the Greenway.

The Via Verda (Greenwaoy) crosses places of great landscape, ecological and cultural importance. It starts in the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and following the route of the old narrow-gauge train it reaches the valley of the Ter River and the meadows of Salt and Girona.
