El nostre terme municipal, amb una superfície de 16,06 km2, es troba situat al vessant nord-est de la comarca de la Selva, enclavat entre els contraforts orientals de les Guilleries i el curs mitjà del riu Ter, a 17 km de Girona, 40km de la Costa Brava i 100 km de Barcelona,

Les peculiars condicions geogràfiques i climàtiques del municipi, juntament amb una història rica i antiga, han fet d’Anglès una localitat amb un patrimoni històric, cultural i natural de gran rellevància.

La diversitat de la topografia del municipi, amb una altitud que oscil.la entre els 100 metres de la part baixa de la Vall i els 854 metres de la muntanya de Santa Bàrbara, es tradueix en una gran riquesa paisatgística i una notable varietat de flora i fauna autòctona. En aquest sentit, el municipi aplega nombrosos camins i pistes forestals aptes per recórrer en bicicleta o a peu que travessen diferents paratges boscans i rurals ( amb algunes masies de gran interès catalogades com a Bé Cultural d’interès local) des de les quals es poden contemplar magnífiques vistes del poble, de la vall i, des de dalt de Santa Bàrbara, bona part de la Costa Brava i el Pirineu Gironí.

Pel que fa a patrimoni històric i arquitectònic, cal remarcar que Anglès té uns dels barris gòtics més antics i importants de Catalunya, declarat Bé Cultural d’Interès Nacional per la Generalitat de Catalunya,  juntament amb la màquina de Vapor de la fàbrica Burés, també declarada BCIN l’any 2010.

Anglès és una suma de sensacions que et sorprendran. La natura hi té un protagonisme destacat, territori selvàtic, comarca de l'aigua amb boscos de ribera i de muntanya. Un lloc ideal per practicar l'esport, el senderisme, a cavall o en bicicleta.
